United States Armed Forces Facts

The United States Air force is the aerial warfare service branch of the United States Armed Forces and one of the 7 uniformed services of the united states. Initially part of the US army the force was created as a separate branch of the United States Armed Forces on sept. 18 1947. The USAF has 307,001 active personnel, 117,221 civilian personnel, 69,200 reserve personnel and 105,500 air guard personnel.
